In the cool of the AC, the sweat on her upper lip dried. She would take only a moment to compose herself in the privacy of this strange room. Slumping onto an overdressed chair, she thought of Olympia: her painted sour skin, her hardened eyes, her opaque refusal, frozen and dried in pigment. Today, there was something unruly in her body defying her, dripping water out of its pores. The production of biological dew and the accidental watering of fabric. The darkened thread of small, soaked bouquets on her shirt. A release was always a matter of provocation. The glass beads dripped onto the Moiré, and without a sound or looking up, she knew someone had come into the room. A transparent fabric which had seemed before to make her thoughts opaque, clicked clear like the magic glass of a Japanese public bathroom.

Jude The Obscure Shirt is made of our custom-embroidered, sheer, semi-iridescent organza. A floral motif is set off by silk charmeuse French seam-bindings. Covered buttons line the front of the garment, and a seamed bodice traces lines of the torso.  The garment can be paired with our Jude the Obscure Dress for a festive outfit.
